OP, My father and I are thinking about putting the 2.2L 4 cylinder engine from my '93 cavalier (its rusted to hell, torque converter failed, salvage title to begin with so effectively worthless) into an old Cub Lo Boy we got nearly for free which currently has an underpowered engine.

Any recommendations on a transmission?
